Subject 1 Registration

- Learning format: Self-study / classroom
- Study materials: A lengthy PDF full of traffic knowledge
- Exam content: 55 multiple-choice computer-based questions, pass with 48 or more correct answers (forgot exact number...)
- Note 1: Suggest booking exams in advance as nearby dates fill up quickly
- Note 2: Don't refer to online test questions - those are for Dubai, not Abu Dhabi
- Fees (800+ AED for self-study, 300+ AED for exam, total ~1100 AED)

Subject 2 Registration (Golden Chance can be ignored)
- Registration locations same as above
- Suggestion 1: Better to communicate in person to arrange class schedules
- Learning format: Learn basics with instructor at driving school (circles, parallel parking, parking, etc.)
- Exam content: Two types of parallel parking
- Pass: Temporary license issued upon passing
- Fees (Longer study hours = cheaper price, recommend medium option: 1200/1800 AED or more)

Subject 3 Registration
- Registration format: Find private tutor with temporary license, negotiate lesson prices directly (two colleagues and I used the same Pakistani tutor, 2 lessons for 120-150 AED)
- Study content: Private tutor takes you on road daily, minimum 6 lessons, additional lessons at your discretion
- Completion: Private tutor uploads your study records to system and helps schedule road test
- Fees (Varies by negotiation, minimum 800 AED + 100 AED registration fee)

Road Test
- Exam content: Large bus carries candidates, each drives for 2 minutes on fixed test route
- Note 1: First candidate in each vehicle must drive from test site to first bus stop, last candidate must return to driving school - higher failure rate
- Note 2: If failed, must wait one month to reapply for road test
- Note 3: If failed, must complete required study hours (i.e., pay for Step 5 again)
- Note 4: After all candidates complete test, police submit results collectively via SMS notification
- Fees (300+ AED exam fee? Apply via Tamm mobile app, service fee required for in-school queues)

Cost Calculation:
- One-way taxi fare from city to Musaffah: 55 AED
- Mini-bus fare from driving school to city: 10-15 AED
- Total cost for Steps 1-6 (2 Subject 3 attempts, 2 road tests): ~5500 AED
